Although potentially misleading as a category of work – no areas of law are in any way age-exclusive – we hope to signal that we understand the particular problems faced by those already in or approaching their later years, including:
- Disputes concerning care funding
- Safeguarding issues
- Lasting Powers of Attorney and deputyship
- Financial Abuse

Property Fraud
A number of us have acted for family members with incapacitated relatives who had been the victim of serious financial abuse. In one case a property was fraudulently sold (and then sold on) in which the legal owner - our client’s mother - was living at the time. We pursued the matter with the Land Registry, who ultimately agreed to amend the property register in our client’s mother’s favour.
